Van Hanh General Hospital is one of the first units that deploy the application of the GPP standards (Good Pharmacy Practice) in compliance with Vietnam’s Minister of Health stipulations, and with the pharmacy’s management system under the basic principles and standards of good practice in each pharmacy.
The application for the GPP process with 10 standard practice steps includes the steps of training pharmacy staff, medicine input in store, medicine quality preservation and medicine issuance. In the Pharmacy, pharmacists always instruct directly to patients how to use medicines safely and accurately. Our pharmacists and pharmacy assistants always obey ethical codes and professional requirements.
In the Pharmacy, there are 6 senior and junior pharmacists, more than 10 pharmacy assistants working as storekeepers and medicine issuers. The Pharmacy consists of 01 whole-storing warehouse, 01 internal delivery warehouse, and 02 pharmacies issuing and selling medicine to out-patients.
Only supply of Visa-issued medications is imported from local and international reputable manufacturers and distributors. The Pharmacy has enough good medicines to supply all departments in hospital, patients under medical insurance policies and out-patients, including high-class items and kinds of vaccines which are preserved in compliance with international standards and current stipulations of Vietnam’s MoH. The Pharmacy also ensures well after-sale medication service at the pharmacy.
In addition, the Pharmacy applies an advanced IT system in medicine management at Van Hanh Hospital.
